Indications

Tight hamstrings.
Inability to touch toes with the legs straight.
Low back pain.

Cautions

Do not do deep work if your client has varicose veins.

Go lighter over the back of the knee.

Work only in a proximal direction.

Use your proximal forearm for best body mechanics.

If you use your distal forearm you will be using more muscle than bodyweight.

Technique

With your client prone stroke up the back of the leg with the flat part of your ulna.

Go lighter over the back of the knee (popliteal area) and over any varicose veins.

Fan out over the gluteals.
