Indications

To increase rotational range of motion to the low back.

Cautions

Do cautiously at first, especially if there are disk problems or pain on rotation. When lifting use the flat part of your fingers so that you are not digging into the tender area medial to the ASIS.

Technique

With your inside hand lift up the ASIS on the side of the client opposite you (through clothing or the drape). Lean back with your body weight to get the lift. With your outside hand press on the side of the spine opposite you (same side that you’re lifting) moving from L5 to T1.
