To increase lateral flexion of the cervical vertebrae at each individual segment.
Do this slowly and get feedback.
Hold your client’s head in both hands with middle fingers extending down back of your clients neck. Give alternate pressure medially into spinous processes of cervical vertebrae moving progressively inferior from occiput, causing alternating lateral flexion at specific vertebrae. (Variation) Hold client’s head aligned to spine, while circumducting at each vertebrae. This may be done with client’s head resting on table or with full support in hands.
