Spread fingers of bottom hand apart so that index and middle fingers are on one side of spine and ring finger and little finger are on the other side. Press the heel of your top hand onto the fingers of the bottom hand then glide up and down the spine, keeping the pressure on either side of the spine.Your bottom hand stays relaxed, the pressure is applied through the heel of the top hand.
