If there is a limitation with either internal or external rotation and a bone on bone like end feel at the end of the range of motion, then your client may benefit from joint capsule release work.
With your client prone grasp your clients thigh and press their leg in a superior direction, pressing the ball of the femur into the acetabulum. Twist the thigh in the direction of restriction several times, then stretch into the direction of the restriction. Back off from the stretch, then traction the femur.
You can do similar work rotating the other direction, but most of your work should be in the direction where there is restriction.
This work is adapted from the Orthopedic Massage work of James Waslaski. More information may be found at www.orthomassage.net

During this time the video library is open to public, no login or registration necessary. We appreciate your patience with this process.
With the rebuilding of over 800 interlinked pages with video content, there are bound to be some errors and glitches. Please let us know of any problems or concerns by using our contact form here. Your help is greatly appreciated.
