Enjoyed the review. I have a client who has sciatica and it runs down the back of his leg to his foot making his foot very uncomfortable. His leg acts like restless leg when he is supine or prone, but not side lying. Working the piriformis does not help. I have used warm stones to try to calm the leg and it helps for a very short time. Any suggestions? I do not see anything in the library for sciatica.

    1. Sciatic pain may be from tightness in the piriformis or deep six muscles, or from pressure on nerve roots in the low back. If you do a search in the library for piriformis or deep six you will see a number of techniques that may help. Working into the low back and stretching the quadratus lumborum may help if the pain is from pressure on the nerve roots. Please go slow and make sure that none of the work you do is painful or aggravates your client’s pain.
