Soleus, Tibial Torsion Assessment

Have your client prone with their knee flexed. Gently dorsiflex their ankle, then observe the resting position of their foot.

If the foot is not parallel to the table, there may be tightness in your client’s Soleus.

If the foot points medial or lateral, there may be tibial torsion.
