Pectoralis Major – STR

Have your client move to the side of the table so that their shoulder is off the edge of the table. Press your knuckles into your client’s pecs near the attachment on the humerus then laterally abduct the arm into hyperextension while stroking medially toward the sternum.

Work the pecs while moving the arm in different planes. Have your client’s arm up overhead while working the lower fibers of the pecs, and their arm down lower while working the upper fibers of the pecs.

  1. Good technique. would be helpful for “upper cross syndrome,” which many office/computer workers have. I’ve seen a lot of clients with shortened pecs.
