With the hip stretch clients may feel the stretch in their soleus if it is tight. One way to isolate the stretch more to the hip and low back is to put a rolled up towel under your client’s heel. Then when you do the stretch the soleus won’t be stretched as much, and the client can feel the stretch elsewhere.
Contraindications:
Clients with ostroporosis or risk factors for osteoporosis
Clients with hip replacement surgery
